Rick Nirschl made the initial identification from photos taken by Dawn and Bob Scranton. He was able to relocate the bird and helped others find it. The thrush was initially seen near the Acacia loop feeders, then at several locations along the Acacia loop to the north. It was last seen flying behind the restrooms at the north end of the Acacia loop.
