Several of us had great looks at the bird on Tuesday, November 18, five days after the bird was first photographed. We were approximately 50-70 feet away from it for over an hour. It was a wonderful experience. The bird was feeding on insects the whole time. At one point it flew a very short distance to get over a water structure. One person got a good look at the legs and there were no bands visible. Over the next few days we need to confirm that the bird is not banded. That would provide good evidence that the bird is not from a zoo.

Editor's Note: Sally King originally photographed the bird on November 13, 2008, but was not sure what the species was. Stephen Fettig was the first one to identify the bird.
